Terms and Conditions for Booking Courses

The following constitute the terms and conditions to which applicants agree when booking any Tan Social Care face-to-face training or e-learning courses (Terms and Conditions).

  1. Registration with Tan Social Care

    Before you book onto a face-to-face training course or e-learning course, we require you to register on the application form provided.Provide valid, accurate information about yourself as prompted by the relevant registration form.

  2. Booking a face-to-face training or e-learning course

    Face-to-face training and e-learning courses can be booked via the booking forms available on the Tan Social Care website. When you submit a booking for an online course, your submission represents an offer to the Tan Social Care to book you onto the course you selected. On submission of the face-to-face training course or e-learning course form, you will receive an automated summary email for your selection.

  3. Prices, discounts and sales taxes/VAT and Payment

    Notice of new pricing will be given in advance, but Tan Social Care reserves the right to change prices listed without notice.

    Early bird discounts (15% off the course fee) are available on face-to-face training courses. The discount is not available in conjunction with any other offer and places are subject to availability.

    If three or more people book onto the same face-to-face training course from the same organisation, they qualify for a 25% discount on the combined course fees.

    Fees must be paid at the point of booking via Stripe secure online payment process. We cannot invoice for fees, or accept payment, by instalments. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. A receipt will be sent to you by email from confirming payment. Stripe will receive the information needed to verify and authorise your payment card and to process your order and is under strict legal and contractual obligations not to disclose this information to third parties.

    Please note that if you do not provide accurate details (including the type of card and number) or if your credit card company does not authorise payment, your application will be deemed void. Tan Social Care will not accept any liability for costs incurred as a result of applications deemed void in this manner.

  4. Tan Social Care face-to-face training courses

    The face-to-face training course fees include: tuition on the day(s) and all essential course materials in hard copy (but please note that under no circumstances will any electronic version be provided, whether before, during or after the training course).

  5. Ownership and intellectual property rights

    All Tan Social Care materials, whether on the Learning Academy website or at a face to face Academy training day, are owned by Tan Social Care. Tan Social Care owns all academic materials available from Tan Social Care including the design, graphics and text of all printed materials. No Learning material content may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed or linked to in any way, in whole or in part, without Tan Social Care prior permission.

  6. Special requirements at the face-to-face training course

    Tan Social Care will make every effort to accommodate special requirements that have been notified in advance of the booking form.

  7. Health and safety at the face-to-face training course

    You must comply with all health and safety rules and regulations and any other reasonable security requirements that apply at the premises at which the training courses are provided.

  8. Invitation letters

    Should a participant require an invitation letter from Tan Social Care, we can provide this as long as full payment of the training course fee has been received.

  9. Behaviour

    Tan Social Care reserves the right to remove any delegate from a training course whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate by Tan or its trainers. In these circumstances, Tan will neither refund any fees nor reimburse any other costs.

  10. Technology

    Tan Social Care does not warrant that the provision of any content online will always be available or be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected or that such content is secure or free from errors and omissions.

  11. Cancellation of a face-to-to face training course

    If you notify Tan Social Care in writing (by email or post) that you wish to cancel a face-to-face training course not less than 28 days before the start date of a course, you will be entitled to a 50% refund. Refunds will be processed within 28 days of receiving your request via bank transfer to the original payer.If you withdraw for any reason less than 28 days before the start date of a course, no refund will be issued, but you may transfer your place on the course to a substitute. If you fail to attend the course on which you are booked without giving prior notice to Tan n Social Care are unable to refund the course fees or offer a transfer.

  12. Transferring your place on a face-to-face training course

    There is no charge for transferring your booking to the same course on an alternative date provided you notify Tan Social Care in writing not less than 28 days before the start and if there is availability. However, a transfer fee of 20% of the course fee (plus VAT) will be payable if the notice is received less than 28 days before the start of the original course. If you transfer your booking, you will not receive any refund, and you will not be entitled to transfer more than once.

  13. Cancellation of an e-learning course

    Once you have booked an e-learning course or package the fee is non-refundable and the booking non-transferrable. If you cancel any e-learning course or package you will not be entitled to any refund, nor will you be able to transfer your place either to another person or onto another e-learning course.
